I am on an HBO binge. After watching all of Sex and the City and Rome in order (and loving them), I just started watching Entourage. In a way it’s the male Sex and the City – except even more unrealistic – the premise must be every teenage boy’s dream, but for 99.99999% of us, that’s all it will ever be!

I can’t quite put my finger on why I like it so much – I don’t want to be Vince (well ok, maybe for a week 🙂 or Eric. Their lives are shallow. Yet, somehow their adventures and friendship are phenomenally entertaining!

Next up: Band of Brothers. After that, I will probably try Prison Break, Battlestar Galactica and Jericho.

Did I mention I love Netflix? 🙂 So much to watch, so much to do, so little time!

  • If you liked Rome you will LOVE Band of Brothers, best production I ever saw on a WWII movie/series. If you rent the DVDs don’t forget the #6 disc with the interviews with the actual characters… gave me the goose bumps.

We followed Prison Break with the wife up to the second season and we found it very entertaining and clever. BTW She is also a Sex in the City buff, I’m trying to hook her on Lost now.

  • I find it entertaining because in some ways its a fun look at what business life is like. There is a subtle underlying theme which are challenges Vince and Eric go through to grow Vince’s career. Business is about working successfully with people for a large part. Vince and Eric deal with a crazy array of characters that constantly test their judgement, for instance Ari. At the same time the show doesn’t take itself to seriously with plenty of adventures/misadventures of living/working in LA.
